How to Cancel Your Peloton Membership Without Losing Access Early — VESTELON FLOW

To cancel a Peloton membership, first work out which one you have. The All-Access membership (the one tied to a Peloton Bike, Bike+, Tread or Row) is cancelled from the equipment itself or from your account under Membership on the website. The App membership (app-only, no equipment) is cancelled wherever you signed up, which is often Apple or Google if you subscribed inside the app. In both cases your access usually runs until the end of the period you have already paid for.

The two memberships, and why the difference matters

Peloton sells two very different things, and people cancel the wrong one all the time.

  • All-Access membership. This is the plan attached to Peloton hardware. One membership covers the household and unlocks classes for everyone who uses that Bike or Tread. It is the more expensive plan, billed in the region of US$44 a month in the United States (illustrative, and it varies by country and over time).
  • App membership. This is app-only, with no equipment required. It is cheaper, commonly in the rough range of US$13 a month for the standard tier, and you stream classes on your phone, tablet or TV. There is sometimes a free or lower app tier as well.

The reason this matters: the two plans are cancelled in different places, and cancelling one does nothing to the other. If you bought a Bike and later also took an App membership on your phone, you may be paying twice.

How the charge shows up on your statement

Knowing where the money leaves tells you where to cancel. If you see Peloton or something similar billed directly, that charge is usually managed in your Peloton account on the website. If instead you see the charge bundled under Apple, iTunes or Google, you subscribed to the App membership in-app, and that is where you have to cancel, not inside the Peloton app and not on Peloton’s site. The App membership and the All-Access membership can look almost identical on a statement, so check the exact biller before you assume which one you are about to stop.

How to cancel, step by step

Pick the path that matches your plan.

  1. All-Access (equipment). Cancel from the touchscreen on the Bike, Bike+, Tread or Row, or sign in to the Peloton website, open your account, and go to Membership, then choose to cancel. Follow the prompts to the confirmation screen.
  2. App membership billed by Peloton. Sign in on the Peloton website or app, open your account settings, find Membership or Subscription, and cancel there.
  3. App membership billed by Apple. On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, select Peloton and choose to cancel.
  4. App membership billed by Google. Open the Google Play Store, go to Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions, select Peloton and cancel.

Whichever route you take, follow it all the way to a confirmation message and keep a screenshot. Then check next month’s statement to be sure the charge actually stopped.

The pause option

If you are not ready to give up the plan entirely, Peloton lets you pause a membership for a set number of months instead of cancelling. A pause stops billing temporarily and then resumes automatically, which suits a holiday, an injury or a tight month better than a full cancellation followed by a fresh sign-up. You will find the pause choice in the same Membership area where you would cancel.

Cancelling All-Access affects the whole household

This catches people out. An All-Access membership is tied to the equipment, not to one person, so it covers every profile that uses that Bike or Tread. When you cancel All-Access, every household profile on that equipment loses access to live and on-demand classes at the end of the period, not just yours. If someone else in the home still rides, talk to them before you cancel. The App membership, by contrast, is personal to the account that pays for it.

What to do with the money

Say you cancel an App membership at around US$13 a month. That is roughly US$156 over a year. Drop an All-Access plan you stopped using and the yearly figure is several times higher. The honest move is not to let that money evaporate into the next forgotten charge. Send it somewhere on purpose: a small reserve, a goal you actually care about, or simply leaving it in your account. A cancelled subscription only pays off if the freed-up money goes somewhere you chose.

The hard part is usually not Peloton itself, it is knowing every recurring charge you carry, including the one billed quietly through an app store. VESTELON FLOW reads one bank statement and lists every recurring payment it finds, so you can see whether you are paying for Peloton once, twice, or alongside three other things you forgot. The first report is free and there is no bank login.

Common questions

Will I lose access the moment I cancel?

Usually no. With both the App and All-Access memberships, you generally keep access until the end of the billing period you have already paid for, then it stops. Cancelling early in the month does not normally cut you off early or refund the unused days.

I cancelled in the Peloton app but I am still being charged. Why?

Because you most likely subscribed through Apple or Google, and those subscriptions can only be cancelled in your Apple or Google account settings. The Peloton app cannot stop a charge that an app store controls. Check your statement to see who the biller is, then cancel there.

Does cancelling the App membership also cancel All-Access, or the other way round?

No. They are separate memberships billed separately, so cancelling one leaves the other running. If you have both, cancel each in its own place, and remember that the price, available tiers and exact steps can vary by region.

Upload one bank statement. FLOW shows exactly where your money leaks today, what it is worth once you redirect it, and the year it could set you free. Not another tracker: a plan you can act on.
