How to Cancel NordVPN and Claim Your Refund

To stop NordVPN charging you again, turn off auto-renewal in your Nord Account under Billing. To actually get money back, you have to contact NordVPN support and request a refund within 30 days of the charge, that is the money-back window. VPN pricing is built to look cheap and bill expensive. NordVPN offers a money-back guarantee, and in most regions it runs for 30 days from your purchase or renewal date. Turning off auto-renew does not trigger a refund. You have to ask for one.

Go to the NordVPN website and open the support or Help Center area.
Start a live chat with support, this is the fastest route, and state clearly that you want to use the money-back guarantee and request a refund.
Give them your account email and, if asked, the order or invoice reference from your confirmation email.
Confirm the refund and keep the chat transcript or any email confirmation for your records.

Important caveats: the window and exact terms can vary by region and by how you paid, so check the guarantee terms that applied at your purchase. Refunds requested after the window has closed are generally not granted. If you bought through an app store, the refund is handled there, not by NordVPN directly (more on that below).

How to turn off auto-renew in Nord Account

This is the step that stops the next charge. It does not give back money already taken, it just prevents the renewal.

Sign in to your Nord Account on the website.
Open the Billing section.
Find your active subscription and look for the auto-renewal or recurring payment setting.
Turn it off and confirm. Your access usually continues until the end of the period you already paid for, then it simply does not renew.

If you subscribed through Apple or Google Play

When you bought NordVPN inside the iPhone or Android app, the app store, not NordVPN, owns the billing. You cancel it there.

Apple: open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, select NordVPN and cancel. Refunds for App Store purchases are requested from Apple through their report a problem process.
Google Play: open the Play Store app, go to Subscriptions, select NordVPN and cancel. Refunds follow Google Play’s policy and are requested through Google.

Cancelling in the app store stops renewal. Whether you get money back depends on Apple’s or Google’s refund rules, which are separate from NordVPN’s 30-day guarantee.

Charges may appear under names that do not obviously say “NordVPN.” You might see the parent company name, a payment processor, or an app-store line like Apple or Google. That is exactly why these charges survive for years, you scan the statement, do not recognise the merchant, and move on.
