How to Export Your Monzo Statement as PDF or CSV — VESTELON FLOW

To export a Monzo statement, open the Monzo app, tap your account, open the statements area, choose a date range, then export as PDF or CSV. The file can be saved to your device or emailed to you. Monzo is app-first, so the phone is the main place you do this.

PDF or CSV: which one do you need?

Monzo gives you two kinds of export, and the right choice depends on what you plan to do with the file.

  • PDF statement is the official, formatted document. It carries your name, account details and the Monzo header, so it is the version to send when someone needs proof: a landlord, a visa application, a mortgage broker or an accountant who wants a clean, dated record.
  • CSV export is the raw data, one row per transaction. It is not formatted for proof, but it is far better for analysis because every payment, date and amount sits in its own cell that you, a spreadsheet or a tool can read.

A simple rule: if a human needs to look at it, export PDF. If software needs to read it, export CSV.

Export a statement in the Monzo app

This is the main route, since Monzo runs from your phone. Menu names shift slightly between app versions, so treat the labels below as a guide rather than exact text.

  1. Open the Monzo app and tap the account you want at the top of the home screen.
  2. Open the account options, then look for Statements or Export statements.
  3. Choose the type of export you need: a PDF statement for an official document, or a CSV file for raw, analysable data.
  4. Pick a date range. For a full picture of your spending, choose the widest range available, or a specific month if a landlord or accountant asked for set months.
  5. Confirm the export. Monzo prepares the file and either saves it to your device or sends it to the email linked to your account.
  6. Check your inbox if the file does not appear straight away, including the spam folder.

If you are signed in to Monzo on the web, you may also be able to download statements there. The web option is handy when you want the file on a computer to attach to an email or upload to a form right away, but the app remains the most reliable place to export.

The pots and joint account catch

Monzo is built around pots and shared accounts, and this is where exports trip people up. Money you move into a Pot can sit slightly apart from your main balance, and a joint account is a separate account from your personal one.

Because of this, statements often cover one account at a time. If you and a partner share a joint account, that may export separately from your personal Monzo account, so you could need to run the export twice to capture everything. Before you rely on a single file, check that it actually contains the transactions you expected. If a payment is missing, it is probably sitting in the other account or tied to a pot.

Why people export a Monzo statement

There are a handful of common reasons this file is needed:

  • A landlord or letting agent who wants to see a few months of income and rent payments before offering a tenancy.
  • Visa or immigration applications that ask for bank history as proof of funds.
  • An accountant or tax return, where the CSV version saves hours of manual typing.
  • Understanding your own spending, which is where the data export really earns its place.

What to do with the file once you have it

That last reason is the interesting one. Once you have a Monzo PDF or CSV in hand, you are holding a complete record of where your money went. The hard part is reading it, because forgotten subscriptions, creeping fees and small recurring charges hide easily in a long list of transactions.

This is exactly what VESTELON FLOW is built for. It reads that one exported file and lists every recurring charge, subscription and fee it can find, so you can see what is quietly leaving your account each month. There is no bank login and no connection to your account; you simply hand over the statement you already exported. Your first report is free, which makes it an easy next step after you download the file.

Common questions

Can I export both PDF and CSV from Monzo?

Yes. They are separate exports, so you can generate each one for the same account and date range. Many people keep the PDF for proof and use the CSV for analysis.

How far back can my Monzo statement go?

You can usually select a custom date range covering your account history. If you need a long period, pick the widest range the app offers, and remember a joint account or older account may need its own export.

Where does the exported statement go?

Depending on your app version it is saved to your device or emailed to the address linked to your account. If it does not download immediately, check your email, including the spam folder.

Upload one bank statement. FLOW shows exactly where your money leaks today, what it is worth once you redirect it, and the year it could set you free. Not another tracker: a plan you can act on.
