Fio banka: exporting your statement and the most common trap (2026)

Fio banka: exporting your statement and the most common trap (2026) · VESTELON FLOW

Fio banka offers statements in several formats and the difference matters more than it looks. CSV or a banking format is most reliable because both carry balances — and without balances you cannot verify that nothing is missing. The most common trap is choosing a period that does not start on the first of the month.

Which format should I choose?

In order of usefulness: banking standards (OFX, MT940, CAMT.053), then CSV, then PDF. The first two have a fixed structure, so they cannot be misread. PDF is typeset text and in some layouts the columns run together.

How much is your account quietly losing?

Transport13%
Lifestyle21%
Utilities14%

This is only an estimate. Upload your statement to find your real number.

Why does the period matter?

This is the trap. Choosing "last three months" from today gives you, say, 2 June to 2 September. Rent for June and for September both land in the same file, while another monthly payment appears once.

The average from such a statement is wrong and cannot be fixed except by exporting again. Choose whole calendar months, first day to last.

How do I verify the statement is complete?

CheckHow
Balances matchopening + sum of movements = closing
Period is wholefirst to last day of the month
One currencyexport foreign-currency accounts separately
No duplicatesthe same month must not appear in two files

What does a statement show that the app does not?

The bank app shows movements. A statement shows patterns. The same amount every month at the same time is a commitment, even if nobody called it that. Scrolling on a phone you never see it, because you only ever see one screen.

Is it safe to upload a statement anywhere?

It depends where. The file contains counterparty names and amounts, so it deserves the same care as a paper statement. Processing that happens entirely in your browser is safe — the file never leaves the device. Ask about that before uploading anything.

VESTELON FLOW reads CSV, OFX, MT940 and CAMT.053 in your browser and immediately checks whether opening balance plus movements equals closing. When it does not, it says so — instead of showing a convincing average built on incomplete data.

Upload one bank statement. FLOW shows exactly where your money leaks today, what it is worth once you redirect it, and the year it could set you free. Not another tracker: a plan you can act on.
